Maintaining Mental Wellness

Mentally surviving an injury is just as critical as physically rehabilitating an injury.

An athlete’s outlook, both perspective and attitude, ultimately dictates the rate at which one recovers and returns to sport.  

Maintaining a positive outlook during injury is challenging yet critical. The mindset that you practice during recovery is the fuel that pushes you forward, through rehab and therapy, until you are eventually healthy enough to resume training. Learning to adapt your outlook and heighten your mood will keep your mind positive, on track, and focused.

  • Determine an 'action' plan for recovery

  • Devise personal strategies for focus and confidence

  • Learn to 'listen' to our bodies
